Weather radar is a very important instrument in atmospheric observation. Most meteorological observations are point data. The only way to obtain three-dimensional data is through remote sensing. In recent decades it has been an indispensable tool for monitoring weather, such as typhoons, May-yu, and other precipitation systems. In addition to weather monitoring, weather radar data are also widely used in scientific research. The purpose of this course is to train students to understand the principles of weather radar and to analyze and interpret radar data.
